Our search for and selection of raw materials and the production and processing methods we adopt make constant reference to basic international standards. The BRC<\/strong> is the British Retail Consortium<\/strong> global standard for food safety. Established in 1998, it guarantees that branded products have been made according to well-defined quality standards and in compliance with minimum requirements.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

It is one of the food safety standards<\/strong> recognized by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI): an international initiative whose main aim is to consolidate and promote food safety throughout the entire supply chain.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Besides being a necessary prerequisite for exporting products to Europe, application of this certificate is a recognized guarantee of corporate reliability<\/strong>.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The IFS<\/strong> (International Food Standard<\/strong>) aims to promote an effective selection of food product suppliers by large-scale retailers, based on their ability to supply safe products that comply with contractual specifications and legal requirements.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

This model is recognized both in Europe and in the rest of the world. This certification too is part of the food safety standards<\/strong> recognized by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI): an international initiative whose main aim is to strengthen and promote food safety throughout the entire supply chain.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Bio is a merchandise certificate and guarantees that the finished product has been made using organic raw materials.<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

It therefore certifies that the raw materials used have been obtained using the best environmental practices, a high level of biodiversity, the protection of natural resources, the application of strict animal welfare criteria and production adapted to the preferences of consumers who favor products made using natural substances and processes.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

USDA ORGANIC<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Organic products are regulated in the United States under a specific Federal Law, known as the NOP (National Organic Program), which is managed by the USDA (United States Department of Agriculture)<\/strong>.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Italian and European operators who wish to market organic products in the USA are required to be certified in compliance with this law by bodies recognized for this purpose directly by the USDA.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Organic products already certified under Regulation (EU) 2018\/848 can be marketed in the USA thanks to the equivalence agreement negotiated between the EU and the USA.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Organic products already certified under EC Regulation 834\/2007 can be sold in Canada thanks to the equivalence agreement between the EU and Canada.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

KOSHER<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The word “kosher” means “suitable” in Hebrew.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

This certification guarantees that food production is suitable for consumption and<\/strong> complies with kosher dietary standards<\/strong>, meaning it follows the set of religious regulations governing the nutrition of observant Jews.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

These are very precise dietary rules which concern both the permitted ingredients and the processing methods and in particular, how animals intended for consumption must be slaughtered. The result is a “suitable” food (or kosher) not only for the body but also for the soul.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

It is the internationally-recognized benchmark standard for the quality management of any organization that wants to satisfy its customers with regard to the products supplied and services provided, as well as the continuous improvement of company performance. It also means the certified company can guarantee customers that the quality of its goods and services will be maintained and improved over time.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

ISO9001<\/strong> is the international benchmark standard for Quality Management Systems (QMS)<\/strong> published by ISO (International Organization for Standardization).<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

It applies to organizations that intend to satisfy their customers regarding the products and services is provides. It also requires companies to work towards continuously improving performance, guaranteeing the increasing improvement of the quality standard of their goods and services.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

LAEO (Authorized Economic Operator<\/strong>) certification stems from the need to guarantee the security of imported, exported and transit goods.<\/p>\r\n

In response to this need, the European Union introduced this qualification, which guarantees the reliability of the company with regard to customs authorities, ensuring strict compliance with regulations and product safety.<\/p>\r\n
